Such music raises feeling of open space, with extraordinary freshness peculiar to it and cleanliness which do not grow dull in due course

Jerry Goodman recorded with the Dixie Dregs for a while. He was great with them as well.

At first, I just like the fast tempo stuff on this record. Now this is my favorite track. John’s solo, he’s so inspired, it’s almost frightening. He and Hendrix are my main influences, and although I am nowhere near them in artistry and accomplishment, I wonder if I’d even bother to play without their inspiration. And the rest of the band is also incredible. This music is about 30 years old. Can you even imagine the kind of impact it had on people used to hearing “Yellow Submarine?”
