Madrigirls is a female chamber choir, based at the University of Glasgow and directed by Katy Lavinia Cooper and Catriona Hutchinson.

The names “University of Glasgow Madrigirls”, “Glasgow University Madrigirls” and “Glasgow Madrigirls” are or have also been used, plus optional “the” before each or any of these. (Not to be confused with a London-based trio calling themselves “The Madrigirls”.)

Formed in the year 2000, originally to sing , Madrigirls number between 20 and 25 singers and have a large repertoire. Their interests range over early, , , , () and , mostly in original arrangements by Katy Cooper (sometimes billed as Katy L Cooper or Katy Lavinia Cooper), as well as new compositions by her or modern composers such as Frank La Rocca (b.1951). Their repertoire includes the entire music of the Llibre Vermell, a fourteenth-century book of pilgrim songs associated with the monastery of Montserrat in Catalonia. Some use is made of percussion and (played by Allan Wright) but most songs are unaccompanied.

Madrigirls have been featured on BBC Radio Scotland (Radio Cafe, February 2007), BBC Radio 3 (The Choir, June 2007) and BBC1 TV (Fiona’s Story, August 2008).
