• [1990-2010] Important songs for me

    21 Mar 2010, 08:04 by Cavalorn

    Deftones - Back to school
    Meine Kindheit, damals in Großauheim...
Großauheim, altes Haus, irgendwann zwischen 1996 bis 1999, das erste mal Deftones gehört... typische "Rockmusik" meiner Brüder Timm & Mattias, durch die ich zur alternativen Musik gekommen bin. Oldschool!!Back to School

Jimmy Eat World - Bleed American
...und so fing der Hype an
Mit diesem Song begann die Ausrottung des Oldschool Emo/Indie-Sounds... Der neue, "poppige" Sound ließ den, von damaligen Indie Größen wie The Promise Ring, Texas is the Reason & Sunny Day Real Estate vergessen...Bleed American

Lamb of God - Now you've got something to die for
Was ist das für eine geniale Musik??
Florida 2005, im Familien-Van durch Miami, im Hintergrund lassen meine Brüder die "Killadelphia" DVD laufen :D und das erste mal hörte ich LOG. Geile Band, coole DVD, guter Song. Now You've Got Something To Die For

Hot Water Music - The Sense
    Das coolste Browsergame überhaupt

  • 3rd Annual Konatown Music Festival

    19 Dec 2005, 06:00 by PirateGuns

I was lucky enough to buy tickets to the 3rd Annual Konatown Music Festival, which was held on a golf course called The Swing Zone. Most of my friends were going to see local artist-gone big Pepper, but not me. I was going there to see one of my favorite ska bands that I have adored for all eternity - Mad Caddies. I was so excited that they were coming here. Barely anyone interesting comes to Hawaii, let alone the Big Island. But they didn't disappoint. The Mad Caddies were fucking AMAZING live.

They started playing as the beautiful Kona sun began to set. I was moshing and singing along and getting my ass kicked. They played as the sky turned black and the stars came out. And then.. "This next song is a love song."

Drinking For 11, that's just what I do when I'm not with you.

It was amazing. We all sang along and crowded around them and I started crying.

Afterwards, they gave out three of their playlists written down on cardboard - and guess who got one?…
