@Rpmillz I'm pretty sure he's from LA and not the "suburban bay area." And yeah, saying the beastie boys pioneered hip hop is like saying that Jimi Hendrix pioneered rock. No one person "pioneers" an entire musical genre, and hip-hop as a musical genre emerged from "hip hop culture," which the Beastie Boys were not really a part of.

@Rpmillz uhhh The Beastie Boys weren't the first hip-hop group, not even close in fact...and they used to have a heavy punk band before hooking up with Ruben and Simons too, so i don't see your point.

waste of 9th's beats.....Scribble Jam back in the day this guy was wearing spikes on his wrists doin hardcore punk/rap with slug (whom is actually talented)....... Now he thinks he is from the hood instead of the suburban bay area and that he is " true to the culture" and that white kids should be "honored to glance at this art form"...........apparently ignorant to the fact that a group of Jewish kids from brooklyn pioneered hip hop along with Rick Rubin. Murs,.....you are garbage. If you got a problem with that you can see me on the MIC, MPC, or with the knuckles- and get fucked up accordingly!
