He is certainly one of the finest violinists. It is difficult to comprehend the amount of inner sadhana he has done to create such a magic in a smallest movement of his bow. Under his instructions, I have heard other masters such as Heifitz, kriesler, Elman, Oistrakh , Menuhin and others. For sheer expression and technique he towers above them. I have heard joyful appreciation about MSG in way outside places such as Chalisgaon , Gondia in Maharashtra.I can keep on and on about this almost unsung master who has a lot to give. One of the very best violinists to be born into this world. An expert in all three systems of violin playing - South Indian (Carnatic), North Indian (Hindustani), and Western. Sir Yehudi Menuhin described MSG as the best violinist in the world! Unfortunately, the maestro's albums are very few and I feel he is very underappreciated. Highly recommended.
