Well, the little things you say and do
Make me wanna be with you
Rave on this crazy feeling, I know it's got me reeling
When you say, "I love you," I say, "Rave on"

I feel Buddy would be duly impressed.

Calm covers? So what, he didn't make the song an exact carbon copy of the original? What's the big deal? I thought the point of a cover was to make the song your own and still pay homage to the original. I like this and I like the original.

I can't listen to this track without hearing him say "Ray Vaughn" during the choruses. who is Ray Vaughn? I don't know, but it bothers the hell out of me.

Buddy Holly is dead and doesn't give a shit.

Why, oh why?! Buddy Holly's turning himself around in serious pain. It's a popcultural joke, a popcultural suicide. What is it with people and calm acoustic covers of exactly every song that's ever been made? Where's the "rave" here, where's the spirit, the mojo, any feeling at all? It doesn't make sense? I used to think M. Ward was a respectable man, he really did something with Let's Dance, but this is just painful. Let Buddy rest in peace and let this track be forever skipped.
