Celtic Woman main site, there's a big announcement. Méav Ní Mhaolchatha is leaving the group to pursue solo works and has an album coming out early next year. On Méav's website, she states that she will be appearing in a new Celtic Woman Christmas special to be aired on PBS in the winter. [Speculation: probably filmed at the same time as the A New Journey DVD].
Méav will be replaced by a new singer, Lynn Hilary, who has performed with Anúna as well as on the Riverdance show. [Again, more details are available at http://www.celticwoman.com/viewSection.asp?idSection=226
While I'll miss hearing Méav with Celtic Woman, I can't wait to hear Lynn, to see what she adds to the mix. I must wish the best of luck to both women, and eagerly await new albums from all.
