  • Clean vocals are so faggety.
  • New album is extraordinary, I think they actually purposefully tone down the complexity as the album progresses so you don't get tired of hearing what would probably start to sound like the same riffs over and over. Whereas the first half really brings the technicality and virtuosity, the second half has a more simple and straight forward heaviness (Palindrome orbit is so uncomplicated and so good) , and then Ephemeris really emphasizes their black metal component. There is a lot of double bass but there's also a lot of fill variation, and some nice spaceier moments where the atmosphere from the keyboards takes over. It's incredibly well balanced overall. Haven't heard melo-death half this good in a long long time.
  • Hundred Light Years is PERFECT!

  • @Meat_Wolf: What were you expecting? You say it is disappointing and yet you listen to Dragonforce and Machinae Supremacy and you rated the new Amorphis 10/10 and even Amaranthe got 8/10 from you.. I bet you think the 2 newer horrible Scar Symmetry albums top their 3 first albums too. You have a pretty good taste in music overall seeing what you listen to, but weird opinion on this.
