Born in Ireland, Co. Cork 7th june 1990. Luke Godfrey is a bass player of jazz rock fusion influence. He plays a variety of different basses, these include a 4-string (20fret) super light gauge set-strings. A fretless (20fret) 4-string with heavy guage set-strings. A 5-string (24fret) medium guage set-strings. And a 6-string (24fret) with light guage set-strings.

Luke is currently experimenting with new sounds and will be putting them on an album titled, ‘Exploration’. The word exploration suggests his searching for new sounds in this particular album. There are two properly completed tracks which are the introduction and the final track. The first track is a mixture of notes focusing on harmonics and the final track is completely composed of harmonics. In total there will be 12 tracks. Luke’s use of harmonics came from his most favored artist, Jaco Pastorius (R.I.P 1951-1987) In September-October 2009 Luke will be attening Colaiste Stiofain Naofa, where he will be studying music management and sound for 2 years. Then he will be attending Cork School of Music in 2011 for 4 years for further education in music.

Musical influences include Jaco Pastorius, Stanley Clarke, Victor Wooten, Steve Bailey, Weather Report, James Jamerson, Bill Dickens, John Patitucci.
