Biography

I wanna rock your gypsy soul.

Focusing on the reality of life through the delicacy and beauty of his poetic lyrics, Luke De-Sciscio writes songs that narrate the fragility of human emotion. Honesty and integrity, passionate delivery and melodic intimacy make Luke De-Sciscio a refreshing and haunting performer.

If image could blur into words and poetry could melt into sound; if there was no space between the experiences I have had and the songs that I write and if I could tell you who I am in fewer words than my songs, I would.

The guy on the Jeff Buckley page is an idiot. Ignore him.

'Luke is a lone songwriter who appears to have festered in the pits of Wiltshire with headphones and the Jeff Buckley discography, but unlike other Buckley fan-boys, his impression is convincing carrying all the wit, poetry and dare I say, pitch-perfect grace, of his muse. It’s no mean feat. ‘Forever Young’ sounds like a film set for a gloomy forest, a track on which his early acoustic demo has finally been dressed with a full band, though Luke’s voice remains the centre-piece throughout. ‘Where I Stand’ features perfectly balanced harmonies, and the over-driven, erroneous home recording of ‘Guilt Drenched Moon’ only adds to his sincerity. Putting the obvious Buckley comparisons aside, we won’t often hear something this compassionate and sweet-natured.' Found this review in a magazine called the Ocelot.
