Initially a Birmingham, England-based solo Industrial project for Liam Fisher, Lucys Drowning became a full band in 2001 releasing debut album ‘Nevermore: The Death of an Innocent’ before relocating to London, England. The foursome of Liam Fisher (vocals, programming), Barry Defect (guitar), Matt Wernham (bass) and Purity (keyboards) received national radio airplay with 2002’s Nu-Metal-tinged ‘Discipl(in)e’ EP, thanks to support from BBC Radio 1’s John Peel and Annie Nightingale before disbanding later that year.

what this person who wrote this bio has forget to put is lucys drowning was a full band in 2000.Liam Fisher put an ad in kerrang and myself and a friend answered it and wrote the nevermore album apart one or two tracks that appair on this the first line up of lucy’s drowning was Liam Fisher (vocals, programming)myself Dave Smith (guitar) and Simon Maslak (bass guitar)

Also, that this band also had an iteration with Stuart Nicholls, and Kurtis Thorne, writing and re-recording additional tracks (such as the Discipline EP) prior to Liam relocating to London. Stuart Nicholls and Kurtis Thorne later worked together in Far From Silence with Allan Oakes and James Brede.
