Biography
Born on 14th August 1973, Italy. Luca Bacchetti had his start in the italian hip hop scene, and by age 18 he starting his own radio show on club culture in Italy. He has a unique and open style in music most closely resembling house, tech-house, and minimal, but also dabbling into breaks, drum-n-bass and more.
He quickly began to travel getting in touch with the international music scene and in particular the Drum’n’bass British scene. During the last ten years, besides giving his full attention to the electronic scene in the European underground he also started touring worldwide and has played in London, Berlin, New York, Barcelona, Ibiza, Zurich, Rome and many more.
Luca is constantly searching for that cutting edge sound and took his DJ skills into his studio and has been producing his own music as well released on Wagon Repair, Tenax Recordings, Safari Electronique and a lots of important remixes. His production are regulary played by dj ‘s such as Richie Hawtin, Mathew Jonson, Konrad Black, Mathew Dear, Wighnomy Brothers, Sven Vaeth, Alex Neri, BBC Radio 1…anyone who has just the sightest interest in minimal techno will know his famous track, a remix of “stop” by Bini&Martini, which became the #1 beatport download for two consecutive weeks last August. These days Luca Bacchetti mixes a whole lot of dark and somber minimal tech-house, many of those his own original works. But he claims he never loses sight of the brighter side of the other end of the tunnel .
