This is simply incredible, this album has shifted my entire perception of what music can be. It's so dark, drags you through the mud every step of the way. Never felt so apart of an album. People who want to control mood during an LP need to take notes. Definitely going down as one of my favorite albums of all time.
Lou Reed non è forse stato un grande musicista in senso tecnico, ma un artista con molto da dire e idee maledettamente buone per dirlo. https://salteditions.wordpress.com/2013/11/12/in-berlin-by-the-wall/
"sometimes i get depressed and i don't go out
and my joy division albums are all worn out'
feel like iggy want to wallow in sin
so i lock the door and i listen to Berlin..."
- gary heffern, from his song "lou reed:".
Reed is handing us a vessel of unforgettable music comprised of shards of broken glass; while we grasp the object to study it completely we begin to notice the razor-edges tearing us to pieces yet we don't put it down.
