  • Lou Derr started out in the SF bay area growing up listening to Merle Haggard and CCR, listening to Fogerty guitar licks and playing in garage bands until he hit the stage at the age of 14. Lou stepped up to his first live radio show in San Pablo, Ca. with Fiddle player Red Barns and sang "Corrina, Corrina" a Merle Haggard hit at the time. The applause was all it took for Lou to be hooked for life performing on stages across the US and abroad. Lou recorded several self penned tunes growing up, got some local airplay on bay area radio stations and even got placement in a couple hundred juke boxes throughout the Northern California area. Lou recorded these 10 songs with help from his band members in Bootleg between 1986 and 1990 at Derr's own studio in Lower Lake, Ca. Lou has been performing as Lou Derr and Bootleg since 1986 and still performs local Northern Ca. Concerts in the Park, Fairs and Rodeos. The members have changed over the years but Lou Derr still loves to hit that stage.
