Loose ends are pioneers of the UK soul/funk scene back in the early and mid eighties.

Out of the US Electro Scene grew a need for lyric bassed music. There were others around at the time Like Viola Mills, Cult Jam, Mtume and The SOS Band. Problem these bands were all American, the UK needed an identity. Loose Ends burst onto the Uk scene in 1984 with thier now anthem, Hanging on a string. This band aimed its music to street level. They captured the imagination of every young male and female teenager, because of the clever use of the Roland 808 Drum Machine. This peice of equipment was “The sound” and played a fundamental part of this bands success and genuine street cred.
