Also, this is the first Holy Spooks record on which you can actually hear the Holy Spooks. Loving the back vocals!

Lonesome Wyatt's aim was always to make ol' time records for modern days. Halloween is Here perfectly fits his endeavor he'd set himself from the very first release. Of course this wanders into childish territories as it is a modern incarnation of those old Halloween records for children. Your lack of appreciation saddens me greatly.

Haven't had a chance to listen to it myself yet... My expectations are quite low, so I guess I'll be pleasantly surprised, at least if I believe your post. But heh, we'll see. I still think the guy needs to take a little break.

Ghost Ballads is the most inspired and beautiful thing I've heard in a long time. The vinyl sounds amazing. The quietness of the songs just serves to create a more eerie mood. If it had the TPB aggression, it wouldn't be nearly as haunting.

It seems Wyatt is lacking inspiration lately... both this album and the last TPB disappointed me.

Well, I love the new album. The only criticism I have is that some of the songs sound similar enough to blend together if you listen to it straight through (and this isn't going away even though I've been constantly listening to it), but this is a pretty minor issue since I think all of the songs are good. I don't get the TPB sound complaints either; the only song that sounds to me like it could have been TPB is October 1347, and that's just because it's slightly more aggressive than the others.

New song's is alright, I think it'll grow on me. The lyrics seem "better" this time around, not as simple as on Heartsick, at least on The Golden Rule.

The new album cover for the Sabella vinyl is quite fancy.

Same as you Begravelse. I didn't really find it great at first even though I liked it, but now I'm loving it. Great fucking album, Lonesome Wyatt is one godly bastard.
