Rattlesnakes was one of the best albums in the 80's. I just can't get enough of it. Brilliant.

frankly, anyone who thinks the 80's were a musical wasteland... well, is an ignorant. Really. Frankly.

Even though it came after this song, this song reminds me rather of "She's A Mystery To Me" by Roy Orbison, in both music and content. (I wonder if Bono and The Edge, who wrote that song, were Lloyd Cole fans?)

Agreed that the 1980's were a musical wasteland (including The Smiths, frankly) but this is a notable exception, because it has real heart.

This song always reminds me of brief romantic escapades in the past. I can't help myself from feeling a bit sad.

I grew up with the sound of these boys. Rattlesnakes was one of the best albuns written in the 80´s.

They helped me through the musical wasteland that was the 1980's (The Smiths and a few others excepted of course ;o)
