The band began in the early 90's as Little Guilt Shrine and split in 1998. The foundations were lain with an ex-Goth/Star Wars geek guy named Matt Holland writing a bunch of songs and playing with samplers and banging on steel pipes in a warehouse in Sacramento, CA.   • This was one of the best bands Sacramento offered when I a teen!!! I still have my autographed "New Car Smell"cd. Britton was the greatest guy I know, and the Sun Flower was best when Matt owned it. Makes me miss home.
  • Along with Tiger Trap, LGS was my favorite hometown band. They were amazing live and totally underrated. Dana and Matt wrote such fantastically witty, nerdy songs. absolutelywilde shouted
