Biography

Lisa Moore, (b.1960), is an Australian pianist long based in New York City. Her primary interest has been in avant-garde/new music. She was the founding pianist for the Bang on a Can All-Stars, a New York based electro-acoustic sextet with whom she toured for 16 years. She has performed and recorded works of various contemporary composers including fellow Bang on a Can member, David Lang as well as Frederic Rzewski, Martin Bresnick, Annie Gosfield and others. To date, she has recorded four solo CDs (Canteloupe Music and Tall Poppies Label) and she appears on numerous collaborative discs on several labels including Sony, ABC Classics and New Albion.
