Holy Fcuk, did I just listen to a glorified dot matrix printer and a telephone modem trying to melt my brain?

this one is obviously inspired by Lou Reed's Metal Machine Music

For me, it's one of those songs that are definitely good in it's unique way, but best enjoyed rarely.

Almost 9 minutes of instrumental lo-fi goodness? Yes, please. [2]

hell yes. I'm glad I'm not alone in recognizing how awesome this is. Reminds me of Interlude by Muse. Love it.

It's an odd choice for a closer and it doesn't complement the rest of the songs well, but as a standalone track, it's great. If she did a full-on collaborative album like this, I think it would work out really well. I just feel like an album should have some sort of cohesion to it in order for it to feel like an album and not just come across as a collection of songs, and this track ruins any cohesion this album had (which, admittedly, wasn't a lot). With that being said, I think this album is a much better effort than her first. I like that she experimented a lot with different genres and didn't just stay with the sugary pop songs that were on The Listening. Hopefully she goes even further on her next album.

Fragile beauty. Goes on a bit long but enjoyable nonetheless. Actually reminds me of World's End Girlfriend, which is not at all what I expected.

I really would love to know why this makes me smile so much. Something about this song sends chills up and down my body and puts a smile on my face. It makes me happy for some reason. Why? I don't know. But it does.
