Originally a member of the NWoBHM band XERO, the group which also boasted a pre SAMSON singer BRUCE DICKINSON, guitarist Billy Liesegang has spent the majority of his career as a session player, even turning down an offer to join MOTȪRHEAD at one point to continue his studio work.Liesegang’s CV can boast recording stints with an endless list of names, including NINA HAGEN, SHARA NELSON and even ROD STEWART.

In 1996 the man decided to record his debut solo album, simply credited to LIESEGANG, and roped in the likes of the mighty ex-DEEP PURPLE and BLACK SABBATH singer GLENN HUGHES, RAINBOW man Doogie White and ASIA’s JOHN WETTON to assist in its making. Contributing drums would be former XERO colleague Barry Fitzgerald. 2000 found Liesegang contributing to the AOR debut for American act 101 SOUTH.
