22 Jul 2010, 20:24 by osiekhanFri 16 Jul – Lez Zeppelin
There was a decent line out front of the venue which should have been a sign that I was in store for a good show. Those ladies rocked the house like the best of them. The show ran roughly 2 hours and they did a decent mix of "greatest hits" songs as well as a few lesser known gems.
The guitarist is pure sickness on a stick! She played the guitar with a violins bow so well that it almost got kinky. The lead singer had the vibe, moves and voice to rock the tracks with ease. The bassist was as smooth as butter, I don't even think she cracked a smirk, all business. She tore it up on the organ as well. The drummer looked like she was just getting fired up as they were coming to an end.
Long story short, WELL WORTH the 19 bucks for the ticket. Lez Zeppelin is not a gimmick by any means.

Apologies for it appearing in the reviews section of these gigs but I had no idea that last.fm is set up to do that simply because I linked to each gig from this journal post. This post is for my own reference really and it's taken too long to write it out for me to be bothered to take it down or remove the links.

Amon Amarth/ Ensiferum/ Belphegor/ The Absence @ The House of Blues in Chicago, 10/13/08
How many people were there?
i dunno, a few hundred at least
What bands have you seen in concert the most, and how many times?
Haste the Day (when Jimmy was still the singer)- 7 times
Black Label Society- 6 times

Umphrey's McGee- 4 times
Demiricous- 4 times
Do you have any set lists? From what bands?
the actual physical set list that the band had taped to the floor or wherever? No. I do have a ton of set lists that I wrote down from different bands at Bonnaroo each year, both Tool shows, and Amon Amarth.
Are there any CDs in close proximity to you? Which ones?
hundreds. I shan't name them all.
What band are you in the mood to see live right this second?
Tool (I'm always in the mood to see them, so I suppose they don't count), Amon Amarth, Phish, Yonder Mountain String Band, Sound Tribe Sector 9, Amorphis
