Les Diamants was formed in the summer of 2004 by Oliver and Mart. Few weeks later Hannele joined the band. They recorded their first demos as a trio. Sven joined the band in November 2004, two weeks before their first gig on December 3’rd 2004, which is officially considered as the band’s birthday.

In a very short time Les Diamants gained underground audiences and critics’ respect as an unique live act. In the summer of 2005 Les Diamants opened for the Estonian punk-legend Vennaskond on their nation-wide tour.

After the tour the band took some time off to complete material for their long-planned debut release, which grew from an EP to a full-length album and was finally recorded in three days at Forwards Studios in Tartu, Estonia. “Fortune Fools” was released in late 2005 and has received only positive reviews so far.
