Biography

Featured in February 2014′s “New Artists You Need to Know” by Rolling Stone Magazine, songs from 18-year-old Lena Fayre’s self-titled 2013 debut EP boast more than three million views on YouTube and have received several awards including an international songwriter competition’s top prize.

Fiercely independent (and unsigned), Lena Fayre set out to deliver the next installment in her evolution as an artist. She started in Hollywood working with Golden Globe winning producer Jimmy Harry as well as up and coming producer Sean Gould, and created a set of deliciously melodic and energizing songs. Next, Lena left L.A. to record at award winning producer Chris Keup’s White Star Sound studio in rural Virginia, where she conceived a set of intensely artful and creative songs together with eclectic collaborators ranging from the Dirty Projectors’ Olga Bell, to Bon Iver’s multi/instrumentalist Reggie Pace and acclaimed folk artist Sanders Bohlke. Upon her return to L.A., Lena completed the project in collaboration with award-winning producers John Alagia and Nolan Sipe, and renowned singer-songwriter Liz Phair.

Titled “OKO,” the album is where abandonment, self-awareness and consciousness coalesce, leaving listeners longing for more. Release on August 5th, 2014, the 11-song LP is available in limited-edition CD and Vinyl formats on the artist’s web site and digitally at all major music e-retailers. To showcase songs from her new album, Lena Fayre is currently doing a series of live shows at venues on the West Coast.
