    Dear friends,

How is it going? As some of you might know, this month my first album, called "Now And Then", was released. I'm very excited about it, and I would like to invite you to listen to it for free at or Bandcamp (

Those who have scrobbled my music before, might feel familiar with some tracks, although they've all been remixed and remastered for the ocassion.

It's a very eclectic album: Rock, Reggae, Groove-rock, MPB, Ballads... so hopefuly there might be a couple of tracks of your choice.- And of course, if you enjoy some tracks or the whole album and feel supportive, don't hesitate in buying the physical CD, or purchasing downloads of your favorite tracks... You can bet I would appreciate that so much, being an independent musician is kinda tough ;-)

Also remember that if you are as broke as me and still feel supportive you can always join my Facebook page: www.

    Dear friends and listeners,

How are you doing? I wanted to bring you some news about new free releases. I recently recorded a new song for a shortfilm called Breaking Point which should be available somewhere around the next few months. The music track is already available for free scrobling here on Breaking Point Theme as well as on Reverbnation and Facebook

The other track I've released is my second cover ever, Joni Mitchell's Blue. Joni is one of my most admired artists, and eventhough I think it's impossible to match her talent and emotion, I decided to record this modest cover with lots of respect. I really hope that you enjoy both the song and the video.

Remember that you can always bring your much needed support by joining my Facebook page:

Peace and love to you all,

    Dear friends and supporters,

After a while in silence with no time for composing and recording, I'm happily proud to announce my come back and the release of my latest tune called "Burner". I think it's my hardest rocking oriented song 'till date, so I'm afraid it might not be suitable for all listeners. Just give it a listen and let me know what you think!

If you've enjoyed or if you think of someone who might enjoy listening to it, don't hesitate to share it with them, or to share it in your Facebook, twitter, or wherever. I really appreciate any help on distribuition! We independent artists, only count with your support, which means a lot to me.

Enjoy, this and the rest of my music is for all of you!

    Peace and love,
    Lele Melo.

    Queridos amigos y oyentes,

  • "Mr. S.C. (The Man from Chicago)" an M-Base homage to Steve Coleman

    15 May 2009, 14:28 by lelemelo

    Hi ya'll,

It's being a productive season in music so far to me. I'm glad to anounce that I've just released one more tune "Mr. S.C. (The Man from Chicago)", an M-Base tune in homage to Steve Coleman, not just a great and innovative musician, but a real nice fellla, who's been a big inspiration for me during the last years.

If you've got the time, drop by and listen, I'd love to have your feedback!

For all of those who want to hear the tune in high-quality, you can download it for free at: I really recommend this option if you want to enjoy the deep bass, the streaming quality here ain't as good.

Thanks for your time, hope that you enjoy.

    Lele Melo
