Asturian (Northern Spain) Celtic-style, folk music group. Their songs follow the path of Breton classics like Gwendall and Tri Yann, melding the Asturian ways of making music with worldwide influences like soul and jazz.
Dixebra. from Avilés, Spain started mixing traditional elements of the asturian music (which is a variant of the celtic music played in the lowlands) with punk, ska, reggae and lately hardcore and rock. Perhaps the most important traditional element in their music is the asturian bagpipe and the use of the asturian language in their lyrics.
Brenga Astur was founded in 1994 by Asturian musicians. Their aim has always been to give people a knowledge about the Asturian Celtic folk music in different ways: from a more traditional perspective, to a folk and even folk-rock point of view.
