From Led Zeppelin and 247 other releases

Dazed and Confused is the biggest hit from the debut (and break through) album of Led Zeppelin released 12th january, 1969. This song and album became music history. It is still considered a huge hit by many people.

According to the Dazed and Confused Songfacts, it was inspired by an acoustic song that Jimmy Page heard folk singer Jake Holmes perform. Holmes’ version was about an acid trip, but contained many of the same elements that made their way into the Led Zeppelin version.

In concert, Led Zeppelin would play an extended version of this song which would sometimes run as long as 30 minutes. It was a showcase for the amazing guitar wizardry of Jimmy Page, and they never played it quite the same twice.

Listening to the debut album "Led Zeppelin" released January 12 1969 with the sound that brought stereo to commercial radio. This version written by Jimmy Page, inspired by Jake Holmes original song Dazed and Confused.

After listening to this most become dazed and confused. Especially so if, like RAY7654321 below, one is consuming a noxious substance. But, on balance, quite good fun, although self indulgent/

This is why I love Rock and Metal cause when I get started on one song others follow and Im on a journey that I dont know how it will end. It will take me places where I couldnt have imagined before. No matter how or what the format I play these songs its always the same I walk this path they put me on until the last song.
