Biography

Ellie Lawson is a folk/pop/song writer artist. She was born in South
London. Her compelling voice and rich sonic landscape reflect a life journey of personal determination and self-discovery. Her lyrics have substance with unique story telling, conversational style and feisty- compassionate attitude. Ellie has invented a unique musical world that is both beat-driven and organic, lyrical and
edgy, thoughtful and entrancing.

Ellie is an ambassador for the clothing brand Quiksilver Women and
has just finished a unique tour of Quiksilver stores in the UK and

Ireland as part of her sponsorship deal. The singer who was
previously signed with Atlantic records in the USA was championed
by chat show host Ellen De Generes where Ellen predicted live on
air that Ellie would become ‘the hugest, hugest star.’ Ellie has tracks
produced by William Orbit and DJ Lethal and very recently had a
number 1 song in the Beatport charts with producers 4 Strings.

Ellie has her own label called ‘Create your Own reality’. Through Barnes and Noble over 25,000 records were sold. Among Ellie’s credits include opening for the BBC presenter Jimmy Doherty’s festival where KT Tunstall and Jose Gonzalez headlined, the Abbey Road studios as part of the Brit awards, Sundance film festival, Relentless Boardmasters festival and many others.

Albums released by Ellie include “The Philosophy Tree” (2005), “Lost Songs” (2009), “Acoustic Exclusives” and “Live in Covent Garden”, which was part of her Quicksilver store tour.
