Berlaar, Belgium (2009 – present)

Laura Omloop (born 18 May, 1999) is a singer from Berlaar, Belgium. Laura is daughter of Serge and Marie-Anne Omloop and is the youngest of six siblings: Thomas (1991), Melissa (1992), Sam (1993), Gwenn (1994) and Jolien (1997). The family also have a boxer dog named Fantasia, a jack russel named Rikky, a rabbit named Snuffie and a horse named Bonte.

Laura participated in Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2009 qualifications of Belgium with the song “Zo Verliefd” (So in love). Laura won the qualifications and she represented Belgium at the 7th Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev, Ukraine. Laura performed as the eleventh act and got without any additional points 113 points, the highest result Belgium ever got in Junior ESC. The song was placed fourth in the competition. After the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2009 Laura joined Ketnetpop, a pop concerts organized and performed by former candidates from the Belgian preselections of the Junior ESC.

In 2010 Laura also appeared in a few Belgian TV-shows:
De generatieshow, where she sang a song from the musical Annie.
Goeie Vrijdag, where she joined a half blind girl to sing “Zo Verliefd”.
Peter Live, where she sang a short version of “Zo Verliefd” as well as Free Souffriau’s song “Ik Lief Voor Jou” with its writer.
