Texas singer-songwriter Laura Marie’s most recent songs are a reflection on unconditional love and resolution planted firmly in the singer-songwriter genre. A winner of the OurStage Texas Lilith Fair Competition in 2010 and a Regional Finalist in the Mountain Stage NewSong Contest, audiences are continually drawn in to Laura Marie’s performances because of her honesty and passion. The Austin Acoustical Cafe noted, “Laura Marie captured the hearts of our audience with her energy, and she warmed the stage and the room with her talented performance.”

Her latest release, The Season, was recorded with longtime friend and collaborator Jake Owen (The BoDeans, Goldspot, Sahara Smith). Each song brings home the truth that there is growth from struggle, and the theme of moving from darkness to light permeates the album. Both musically and lyrically, The Season sings this message loud and clear; “I hope this album gives people excuses to love…what else are we made for?”
