Laura Groves, lead singer of Nautic and original Bradford girl. Her forthcoming EP 'Thinking About Thinking' includes the first songs she's written since moving to London from her hometown. Self-producing for the first time (with additional production from DEEK label boss Bullion), Laura places her exquisite voice at the heart of lavish harmonic arrangements, synths and guitars.

  • I discovered her through Blue Roses and absolutely love the one album she did there... sadly, her newer stuff just doesn't do it for me :( It's not bad music, it just doesn't grip me the way that project did.

  • I like the new EP, but I don't love it. It's so indebted to Tango In the Night-era Fleetwood Mac, it's crazy. I miss her Blue Roses incarnation, and the simple directness of those songs. I feel like she's trying too hard.
