Laugh Out Loud is the solo project of Eric Reid that presents itself as a loud intense mix combining indie, punk rock, acoustic folk, old west and electronic music. Eric is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, singing all his own vocal tracks and playing drums, guitar and piano, as well as being a MIDI hacker.

At the age of nineteen, his song-writing is already impressive and mature. His lyrical themes critique the dysfunctional modern family and dissociation of urban youth, all bathed in scathing black humour. His general style comes from a wide scope of inspirational sources and is frequently referred to as an ecstatic mix of Neutral Milk Hotel, Bright Eyes, the Flaming Lips and the Arcade Fire.

Laugh Out Loud as a live band is equally impressive, with Eric’s crazy stage antics and a wide array of onstage players including: guitars, bass, piano, trumpet, violins, drums, accordion and synthesizers, making the live show a treat for the eyes as well as the ears.
