Lady in the Radiator is three things. Firstly, she is a fictional character portrayed by Laurel Near in the David Lynch film Eraserhead (1977) that sang a song called “In Heaven”, later covered by the Pixies.

Secondly, Lady in the Radiator is an indie-rock band from Arlington, Virginia consisting of bassist/vocalist Salem Acuña, vocalist/rhythm guitarist Ingrid Pierre, drummer Mitchell Bass, and guitarist Connor Donahue.

Formed out of middle school gym class in northern Virginia in 2003, the band has continued to write and play songs in and out of the DC area. At the moment the band is writing and recording while attending different schools and universities. Ingrid Pierre is currently enrolled at Harvard University in Cambridge, MA.

Thirdly, a defunct band out of Coppell, Texas. Three of its four members went on to form the still-active Pet Hospital.

Fourthly, a very active up and coming band from New Jersey. Psychedelic Post Hardcore with a serious Post Rock influence
