Brown Eyes is believed to be the most emotional song Lady Gaga has written to date. The concept behind the song is something most people can relate to - a love lost. Written by Team Love Child in 2006, it’s is known as her most autobiographical track on The Fame. Vocals for the song were recorded after “a lot of red wine and crying,” in one single take and first preformed live at Mirage Club on August, 18th 2008.

“I wrote that song a long time ago and I had never had my heart broken like I had when I wrote that record. That was one of those 3 AM, crying in my apartment at the piano…one foot on the bed and one foot on the floor.” - Lady Gaga
