Kyle Smith (born 1985) is a singer-songwriter and guitarist from Albany, New York. He has been compared to Brett Dennen, Jack Johnson, and Conor Oberst.
In 2009, Kyle began a new project, My Knowing Smile. Kyle Smith’s new CD with My Knowing Smile, features Heidi Zacharias (harmony, piano). ” Hymn and Him” was released in April, 2009.
In 2007, Kyle recorded his first studio album, “Beto’s Quest for Knowledge.” The album showed Kyle’s range, from upbeat favorites like “Waste” (featuring Kristin Traywick) and the comical “Bottoms Up and Bottoms Down” to poetic “Picking Fights” and heart-wrenching “4AM Tones.” Kyle got political with the November hit, “Operation American Freedom.”
Kyle is currently living, writing, and playing New York City.
