pentyharmonium & kradlelova: And actually they had planned to collaborate at some time but it never happened, for some reason or other. I for one have also always imagined the protagonist in "The Hall of Mirrors" as Bowie and especially in connection to his Thin White Duke persona. And when making this connection, it brings a much more fuller interpetation possible for the whole album. As a full and meaningful pondering about Europe and the relations of personality, image and the whole continent.

I don't like the mix very much, espicially the Afrika Bambaata sampled synths and the drums... try listening to the drums of "The Man Machine" track.

I feel like this captures the dark side of trains / travel while Europe Endless captures its light side. Kraftwerk excels at presenting something pretty / good while also exploring its ugly / evil undertones, forging something beyond either distinction.

@pentyharmonium they used the phrase station to station as the refrence to the david bowie album "station to station" because he made the album in 1976 and kraftwerk this album in 1977 bowie then gave them a tribute on the song V-2 Schnider on the album heroes by bowie (1978)

Q: Did Kraftwerk use the phrase "station to station" as a reference to the David Bowie album or did David Bowie name the album Station to Station after the song?
