    the title is a reference to a warning sign for being under a gas or chemical agent attack… In the presence of gas, one is trained to yell, “gas, gas, gas” and bang together anything metal to another piece of metal…

    I think on this track you can clearly see how Depeche Mode were influenced by Kraftwerk. DM's sampled stuff around the '83-'86 period takes pointers from this.
