About This Track

An instrumental track from Kraftwerk’s 1974 album Autobahn. The title translates into English as “Comet Melody 2”. The track was preceded on the album by the first part of the suite “Kometenmelodie 1” and the two-parter was written by Hutter and Schneider who took their inspiration from the discovery of Comet Kohoutek in 1973.

    ha! knew i'd find which trrack DIV had nicked the melody for Kontroll from! first heard this coming down in 1990 ish....and still lovin it ;0 just never got round to finding out its name until now.kinda preferred the more flowery 'hey that spacey Kraftwerk track, y'know, it goes *hums tunelessly with a few deh deh deh deh's thrown in* great when your're completely out yer tree". or summat like that. anyhow, yeah, amazing ;D
