This is one of the very first songs Kråkesølv wrote together. The different parts of the song were supposedly written by Fredrik Olsen and Thomas Litangen during rehearsal with Trondheim artist Silje Halstensen. Before Kristoffer Unstad wrote the self pitying lyrics, the song was known as "Kald postmann/Varm SiljeH. fra Bergen", referring to the aforementioned Halstensen and Cold Mailman. "Skredder" bears a strong resemblance to the Cold Mailman tune "True Love Does Exist" in a subtle way.
