1) Klinik is project of Belgian musician Marc Verhaeghen, who is continuing (but without “The”) his own dark experiments (sometimes as a solo, sometimes with various other members, like Mark Burghgraeve and Thorsten Stroht in 1995, Stefan Mertes and Tom Claes from 1996 to 1998, and Nickanor in 2002), after Dirk Ivens, half of The Klinik, left the band in 90~91 to concentrate on his own project Dive.

Verhaeghen has been involved in several projects outside The Klinik / Klinik, including Noise Unit (with Bill Leeb and Rhys Fulber of Front Line Assembly), D.Sign / D-Sign (with Philippe and Eliane Fichot of Die Form), X10 (with Niki Mono, Marc Ickx of A Split-Second and vidna Obmana), and Para (with his own wife Sabine Voss).

Original The Klinik were active between 1985-1990 (// 2003 // 2009-now). At first as quarter: Dirk Ivens (Absolute Body Control, Dive, Sonar, Blok 57), Marc Verhaeghen (X10, D-Sign, Noise Unit, Para), Eric van Wonterghem (Absolute Body Control, Insekt, Sonar, Monolith) and Sandy Nys (The Maniacs, Hybryds).

On first tour they called themself Absolute Controlled Clinical Maniacs, but this rather unwieldy name was soon dropped in favour of the shorter name The Klinik. Nys soon left the band to form Hybryds, followed in 1987 by van Wonterghem, leaving The Klinik as the “classic” duo of Dirk Ivens and Marc Verhaeghen… until 90~91…
etc -> The Klinik

    The name was reduced to KLINIK with the box set album. Both Black Leather and Time uses the name KLINIK.

    its kinda hard to find on mp3... also a purely Verhaeghen disc is not as in high demand as those with Ivens. Just my observation, though I could be wrong.

    KLINIK - actually solo person of Marc Verhaegen. The Klinik - Original old band Dirk Ivens & Marc Verhaegen 1986-1990. In December 2003, the duo reunited for a one-shot celebrative performance at the BIM Festival in Belgium. The huge success and overwhelming requests from fans led to the appearance of The Klinik in the original line up at the Wave Gotik Treffen in Leipzig the following year. Other festival appearances followed. In 2009, The Klinik are back as a full time band, with a new studio work to be released in the future. Because of continuing health problems of Marc Verhaegen, it's not sure that he can join The Klinik live on stage in the near future. Therefore, he will concentrate on creating music in his homestudio. The Klinik members anno 2009 are Dirk Ivens (Voice/Lyrics), Marc Verhaegen (Studio Music) and Peter Mastbooms (Live Sounds and Video Images This is not an incorrect tag for The Klinik. Correct is

    lol... Klinik [2] (Finnish christian rock band.. currently on hiatus of undetermined length). Anyway... Darkest electro-industrial/ebm pioneers --- ahead of their time.. I know it goes without saying, it's just so great to hear cd comps like "The Kilinik" and "Black Leather" all over again and know where all these modern groups ideas originated.

    The lack of both the "Time" as well as the "Plague" album here on begs one question: Where the heck have you all been? Seriously!
