Danish band playing traditionel klezmer and own klezmer compositions in a modern high-energetic form. Surfguitar, bass-balalajka and rock drums. Trumpet, clarinet and Channe Nussbaum sings in jiddisch, the original eastern-european jewish language.

A reviewer wrote:
“A band consisting of anything but lost folk musicians escaping over the fence in an intoxicating stream of surf rock, ska and hints to Serbian farmer rock, played as if it were a slivovitz-affected day on the market place in Guca. Welcome to the world of Klezmofobia.”

In 2005 the band got signed by the shop Tiger’s label, that sign new upcoming artists and sell their CD’s from the shop for just 20 Danish kroners. Klezmofobia sold 5000 albums in just 6 weeks (which is a lot considering the Danish CD marked). Klezmofobia has today in Denmark alone sold 20.000 CDs both of the first release: “Tantz!” and the second: “Ganze Velt”. Both CDs are available in German CDshops and for download worldwide.
A live concert with Klezmofobia is usual a mix of wild chaindancing and melancolic ballads.
The band has toured in all of Scandinavia, Finland, Germany, Austria, Mexico, Estonia and Poland.
