Biography

Kitcaliber is an alias under the LapFox Trax label of Renard. They are members of an unknown species that produce , often with vocals. Kitcaliber can be recognized for their distorted rock sounds and thrashy noises. In their latest album, D.FREQ.CRUSH, there are prevalent gabber and breakcore influences.

They are generally referred to as “Kit” (the duo’s female “vocalist”, whose vocals are actually generated via Cepstral text-to-speech tools , which are then time and pitch corrected), and “Caliber” (the duo’s male producer and progammer).

Perhaps I'm being a little too blunt with my statement. While I do stand behind that the point that people should just be fine with whatever he releases, I'm not saying that's all that people can do. Everyone is free to request for Mayhem this and Mayhem that, but people should at least tone it down before Mayhem is just another of his aliases that get hardly anything. Of course he isn't phased by all of the requests, he's just starting to hate the fact that Mayhem is the only thing people ask for. Nevermind NegaRen, who only comes around Halloween, or just now getting the second Kitcaliber album. What about D-Mode-D? And yeah, he does make whatever he wants at whatever pace he wants (he's actually said that in a stream), like the next Queenstons album.

Yeah I know what you're saying with the alias thing, but as an aside, that doesn't mean people "need to be happy with whatever he comes out". It's impressive that he's just one guy but I mean, personally, I haven't enjoyed his releases much from like Ergosphere until Reload/this album, and it's not because he was making Truxton or Renard, it's simply from a composition standpoint. I don't think he's phased by alias requests though. He's usually just making whatever he wants at whatever pace he wants, pretty sure he knows how to handle that well if he has made it this far.

All I'm saying is this: People need to be happy with what Renard puts out. It's just one guy behind several pseudonyms, not a massive label with various people working on different projects at time. Patience is a virtue.

I've had it looping since yesterday. Unfortunately, most of those loops were on my iPhone, which for some foreign reason does not scrobble a damn thing. But yeah, it's just a perfect album and its always refreshing to see him reviving aliases like these, the ones that barely get any attention. Always with people wanting Mayhem this, and Mayhem that. Can't people be happy with what's already there? Do we really need another half-hour of electro? I'd love to see more Queenstons and Renard, but you don't see me whining about it on his videos, or spamming his email about it.

On another note, I was about to order some Kitcaliber stuff off RedBubble but lo and behold, there's not a single design with Kitcaliber, even though their style lends itself so well to posters and whatnot. Really hope he puts up some prints for this alias.

Let's see, I love Pseudotriton, Devil, Raystorm, Kingdom Grandprix, Extend (Suicide) (except for one part towards the middle but it's no big deal), Disinfect the Dead and Radio Dreamin'. But really, it's awesome collectively. My favorite release of his since The Grey Goo Scenario. Talkin' is still a legend though. And Screwball, and Broken City. And ALL OF IT let's just leave it at that.
