1. ZX Spectrum
- "Human Herd"
A Latvian band, tagged generally as some form of death metal. I'd call it melodic death myself, given the catchiness of the whole thing. Others seem to disagree, though. It's a good little song, but not a great one - the guitars and vocals sound as though they were recorded in different rooms, for example.
Still, methinks I'll hear more about this band somewhere around the place in future.
2. massive bomb
- "still i stand"
Exceptionally earnest "indie" music. Someone on their shoutbox is comparing them to a certain Irish group with a man wearing sunglasses doing vocals, and I can hear that a bit. The difference, though, is that the sound of cash registers ringing is clearly what this crowd wants, and it leaves a rather nasty taste in my mouth as a result.
