What a musical masterpiece and I can't believe they needed to give it to Bonnie Tyler to finally get it recorded and released on one of their albums...It screams Paul Stanley musical genius from the start to finish !
the piece has an interesting history. First written by Paul Stanley, Desmond Child and Holly Knight in 1987 for Crazy Nights album but got rejected, subsequently was performed by Bonnie Tyler in 1988, then appeared on Kiss' Hot In The Shade
Funny story, my friends wrote the melody and instrumental for a song and needed lyrics to it. Their friend from middle school gave them the lyrics to this song but they didn't know they were stolen until after the high school talent show. I still think my friends' version was better, no offense to anyone who loves this song. It just isn't the same for me without their spin on it. =]
Goes to show how two people can have totally different ideas about a song.
