About This Track

“Four Kicks” is the second single taken from Aha Shake Heartbreak which is the second album by the American rock band Kings of Leon. It peaked at number 24 in the UK singles chart and number 32 in the Irish singles chart. It is also a double worded title the other being “For Kicks” as it is labeled on the Zune Marketplace whether it is incorrect or not is unknown.

The song’s music video shows the band playing in a lobby where a massive fight breaks out randomly with people in the lobby when the band start playing the song, during the fighting the room is lit in red but whenever Caleb is singing the red light goes out and the people fighting freeze in mid air.

"I honestly don't understand why so many people love a band until they become commercially successful and then all of the sudden when the band is popular and played on the radio a lot their early fans abandon them claiming they sold out? That is idiotic." - here fucking here

Yes, KOL's older music was 'better', but they are still a good band. They didn't sell out, they just gained a wider fan base. What's wrong with a band getting the recognition they deserve? Nothing. I don't give a bollocks, I like their old and new work.

@Eric: I don't give a shit about a band's popularity. In fact, I often want the music I like to become more successful. I loved KoL's older style a lot more than I like their newer approach. I even enjoyed Because of the Times, which most old fans seem to despise. However, their newest album was terribly boring to me, and the one before that was just alright. It's not about them being popular; it's about my taste in music. They're just not appealing to me anymore. I miss what they were, because I really love that sound. Sometimes it's that easy of an explanation.

That's because the music they release now is stadium pop-rock pap for the masses. This isn't.

I didn't care for this song so much in the beginning. Then I saw the video, And in someway, that made me "understand" the song better. It's now onw of my absolute favourites and I have to rock out whenever I hear it.

I liked the first couple of albums but I agree with below. They do not do it for me at all anymore. Pity.

Because clearly SWLABR is the only song that's allowed to use staccato in the guitar line. The songs have almost nothing in common.
