When a band changes their name and kicks it off with a new singer do you still title them as a “new” band, or did they just take their music to the next level? Either way, both statements are true for the 6 piece band Kingdom of Giants. Originally known as Hello Sailor, this California Bay based band made all the right decisions when looking to step their game up. Their sound is a mix of truly powerful breakdowns, mixed with a vocalist that could very well take the place of all the “Jonny Craigs” out there, combined with subtle “never-cheese” synth blends that add to the energy of their sound. Their EP Abominable was recently released on Jan 25, 2011. It truly lives up to it’s name giving off so much uplifting energy, leaving your blood pumping wanting more. New listeners need to check out their songs “Watch Me” and “Who I Once Was”. Watch out for these guys as they dominate the road this year!
