About this album

As Daylight Dies is the fourth studio album by American metalcore band Killswitch Engage. The album was released in the US on November 21, 2006. It was subsequently released in the UK on November 20, both through Roadrunner Records. The first single, “My Curse”, was released to radio stations on October 30. The album entered at No. 32 on The Billboard 200 album chart, selling roughly 60,000 copies in its first week. It is the first Killswitch Engage album without an instrumental interlude.

A re-release of the album was released on August 28, 2007. It contains the three bonus b-sides listed below and three videos including the video for the Dio cover of “Holy Diver”

The album was certified Gold by the RIAA on June 30, 2009 (the same day its successor was released).

I really don't get why people don't like this album. Imo it's better than Alive Or Just Breathing and their first Self-Titled. Only The End Of Heartache beats this. Hope their new album will be as good :)
