Formed in 1989, Kill The Thrill played as support for Killing Joke, Zeni Geva, Big Chief, Young Gods, Einstuerzende Neubauten, La Muerte, Neurosis, Jim Rose Circus, Grotus, Treponem Pal or Coroner, before releasing their first album in 1993. This debut album DIG is produced by David Weber (Treponem Pal, Young Gods). In the same year they released the EP PIT. As the group counts three musicians, they work with both a drum machine and samplers.

In the years hereafter the band played at several French festivals and again toured through Europe. While Kill The Thrill started as a trio, only Marylin and Nicolas recorded the second album but collaborate with the turntablist Erikm. LOW is a balance of noise and quietness, with the impossibility to isolate one song from another. Over the years, songs of Kill The Thrill were included on a high number of compilations.
KILL THE THRILL are three again when recording 203 Barriers, its recording and production has been achieved by Nicolas Dick. With 203 Barriers KIll The Thrill developed their music to a daring sound, disturbing and extreme. Kill The Thrill compositions have evolved with the band. Now fury is under control and melodys got a real place.

Their next album « TELLURIQUE » out on Season Of Mist (May 2005) hits where it hurts, putting together an extremely cold and clinical indus/metal aspect with rock touches or even new wave, the whole thing bathing in a very melancholic atmosphere.

tellurique has such a different feeling that so few music can give, especially Permanent Imbalance. the song's like an endless circle, like the life itself, it gives pain and then soothes. also, disturbingly beautiful lyrics. 'I love an absence for a balance But balance breaks and falls and no one notices'

I've gone with 203 Barriers. Loving it so far. There are sudden changes which aren't present on the swelling aggravated building tellurique. Still morose and filled with malady.

I have to admit, I'm so blown away by Tellurique that I've never tried any of the other albums. I think now is the time to expand my perception of the KtT universe. Are there anymore plans for live shows? The videos from the show back in 2012 looked and sounded so incredible. I'd definitely travel to see this rare gem of a band play.

@bbiwyou Oh yeah, Low no doubt is a pretty damn awesome and vastly underrated record, nice amount of variety and experimental loops here and there

All their releases are gorgeous but "Low" always had my preference for some reasons. Maybe because of its obvious french-hardcore influences and great experimental verses.

french coldwave meets Killing Joke and takes the heaviness on Godflesh level. Tellurique is fucking gorgeous (2)

Just experienced Tellurique for the first time today. Wow. My only points of reference for this band are bands that are clearly highly influenced by them (Avant-Rock/Black Metallers Amesoeurs)... but really, it's as inventive as Ulver's Blood Inside, but with a crushing injection of mallice and fruhstration. And inspite of the aggression and tension, it is still immeasurably artful. I'm not a big follower of industrail music, but this completely connected with me.
