Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi (born January 30, 1984 in Shaker Heights, Ohio), better known by his stage name Kid Cudi, is an American rapper who first gained attention after the release of his debut mixtape a KiD named CuDi which he released in collaboration with New York street wear brand 10.Deep. The mixtape caught the attention of Kanye West, which in turn led to Cudi’s signing to the G.O.O.D Music Label. His debut album, Man on the Moon: The End of Day, was released September 15, 2009. He also has plans to release a collaboration album with Chip tha Ripper titled The Almighty GloryUS some time in 2009 and another collaboration album with Ratatat in 2010.

Kid Cudi is currently finishing up his debut album Man on the Moon: The End of Day for an September 15, 2009 release on Universal Motown Records. It will feature guest spots from Kanye West, Common, Snoop Dogg, Ratatat, MGMT, Clipse, 88-Keys and Chip tha Ripper. On July 16th, the original release date of August 25th was pushed back to a September 15th release date. Although there is no official reason for the delay Cudi is said to be annoyed as he will miss out on the 2009 Grammy awards nominations and he believes by the 2010 awards his album’s release will be forgotten by the selectors. Also Jay-Z’s The Blueprint 3 will be released a week and a half before Man on the Moon, meaning Cudi’s albums buzz might be overshadowed by Jay.
