Khalil was born in the Nation’s Capital and raised in Baltimore, MD as a child of two early converts to Islam. Growing up with the principles and moral standards of Islam helped shape Khalil’s focused attention to social and spiritual issues within his music.
Every part of his music is directly or indirectly influenced by his firm belief in
God and His principles.

Today, Khalil is slowly building a fan base consisting of people around the world who love his sound and his words. He has an ability to switch styles and flows manipulating and convincing whichever beat he chooses that it was tailor made for him. His lyrics have depth, yet are concise and to the point as he speaks to the world through the eyes of someone obviously concerned for its state.
Khalil recently released his debut album “The Calm Before the Storm” in April of 2007.
Preliminary reviews have been very strong and the album continues to gain momentum as more of the world becomes aware of this rising star.
When Khalil is not working on his music, he is working for the community or building
his business.He is also a budding producer. His aspirations are to create
a music services/consultation business servicing independent artists.
